BKSAP chairman Fadli Zon stated that BKSAP will use parliamentary diplomacy to respond to this tragedy and raise the issue of Palestine at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) General Assembly on March 11-15 in Manama, Bahrain.
“BKSAP strongly condemns the vandalism by illegal Israeli settlers. There can be no tolerance for any violent actions, including the brutality of Israeli settlers towards Palestinian residents,” Fadli said in a press release (1/3/2023).
The board also prepared a draft resolution regarding Palestine for the IPU session to be adopted as an emergency item. Moreover, it is suspected that the brutality in Huwara Nablus is actually protected and even supported by some international actors and the security forces of the radical right-wing Israeli regime.

“Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki’s statement strongly suggesting that there are international actors who protect Israel from accountability should be taken seriously by the UNSC,” he said.
As a reminder, Palestine was recently gripped by violence on Sunday, February 26, 2023, as a number of illegal Israeli settlers burned more than 30 homes and dozens of Palestinian-owned cars. One Palestinian was shot dead and around 400 others were injured. The tragedy is a brutal act of violence.
