Jakarta, Indonesianpost.com – Reported by Antara, The Indonesian Embassy in Tehran has issued a warning urging all Indonesian nationals (WNI) in Iran to exercise heightened caution following Israeli airstrikes on the country early Friday morning local time.
“In light of the regional developments, the Indonesian Embassy in Tehran urges all Indonesians in Iran to remain vigilant, prioritize their safety, and ensure the well-being of their families during daily activities,” the embassy stated on Friday.
Additionally, Indonesian citizens in Iran are encouraged to maintain regular communication with the embassy, keeping them informed about their current whereabouts and condition.
The embassy has also advised nationals to avoid crowded areas and places deemed vulnerable, minimize unnecessary travel, and securely store important documents and valuables.

Indonesians living in Iran have been urged to complete self-reporting procedures at the embassy and stay updated on the security situation by monitoring local media and official sources.
Furthermore, they are reminded to adhere to security guidelines issued by local authorities.
“In case of an emergency, please contact the Indonesian Embassy in Tehran via the following hotlines: +98 902 446 8889 (telephone and WhatsApp) or +98 991 466 8845 (WhatsApp only),” the embassy’s statement added.
Following Israeli airstrikes targeting several locations in Iran on Friday, the Indonesian Embassy reached out to Indonesian nationals in the country to assess their safety.
The embassy also announced that Iran plans to take retaliatory actions against Israel’s assault and called on all UN member states, especially regional and Islamic countries, as well as members of the Non-Aligned Movement, to condemn the Israeli strikes.
Meanwhile, Indonesia’s Foreign Minister, Retno Marsudi, condemned the attack on Iran and urged both nations to exercise restraint, expressing hope that tensions would not escalate further. She assured that her ministry will continue to monitor the situation closely. (BL)
