IPS Presidential Candidate Survey: Prabowo 33.2%, Ganjar 22.1%, Anies 20.9%

Jakarta, Indonesianpost.com – Indonesia Polling Stations (IPS) has revealed the results of a survey on the electability of potential presidential candidates for the 2024 election. Prabowo Subianto tops the list, followed by Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan in second and third place.

The IPS survey was conducted from February 15 to 24, 2023, with a total of 1,200 respondents. The sampling was done using a multistage random sampling technique. Data was collected through face-to-face interviews with trained personnel. The survey has a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of +/- 2.83%.

Senior IPS researcher Alfin Sugianto revealed that Prabowo leads when respondents were given a closed question. Prabowo received 33.2% of the vote, followed by Ganjar Pranowo with 22.1% and Anies Baswedan with 20.9% of the electability rate.

“The results of the IPS survey confirm that Prabowo Subianto is still leading among all his competitors when respondents were asked a closed question (with a list of names). 33.1% of respondents chose Prabowo if the presidential election was held today,” said Alfin in a press conference on Tuesday (28/2/2023).

“Because Ganjar and Anies have also significantly entered the public’s top-of-mind, their electability remains in the top 3 when asked a closed question,” he added.
