According to Tedy, Sergey was a foreigner working illegally in Bali without a permit. He was charged under Article 75 paragraph 1 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

Based on WNA’s crossing data, Sergey was known to have entered Bali on April 27, 2022. He established a real estate company and restaurant in Kintamani, Bangli.

However, to date, the company has not yet operated. From immigration investigations, the man from the land of the red bear was found to be working as a photographer.

Sergey was then arrested at the company, which was also used as his residence, on February 22, 2023. “He abused his residence permit by working illegally,” said Tedy.
