Osaka, Indonesianpost.com – Vice President of Indonesia Ma’ruf Amin, Ma’ruf Amin, inaugurated the Istiqlal Mosque Osaka, Japan on Sunday (06/03/2023) local time.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by a number of Indonesian representatives in Japan, including the Indonesian Ambassador to Japan, Muhammad Lutfi, and the Indonesian Consul General in Osaka, Subagyo.

The construction of the mosque, which is located in the heart of Osaka, was carried out through the collaboration of the Indonesian government and the Osaka prefectural government. The mosque, which has a modern and minimalist design, is expected to become a symbol of friendship between Indonesia and Japan.
Ma’ruf Amin expressed his gratitude for the successful completion of the mosque construction and emphasized the importance of the mosque as a place of worship and a center for Islamic activities in Japan.
“The establishment of the Istiqlal Mosque Osaka is expected to be a place of worship and a center of Islamic activities, as well as a bridge of friendship between the two countries,” Amin said in his speech.

Indonesia and Japan have a long history of cultural and economic ties, and the establishment of the mosque is expected to further strengthen these ties.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by a number of local Japanese officials, who expressed their support for the construction of the mosque and their appreciation for the cultural exchange between Indonesia and Japan.
The Istiqlal Mosque Osaka is the first mosque to be built in Osaka and is expected to serve as a symbol of the growing relationship between Indonesia and Japan.
