Garut, Indonesianpost.com – The hijabs trio band from Garut, Voice of Baceprot (VoB), will once again perform abroad. This time, they are scheduled to perform in the United States in August.
The news was confirmed directly by VoB through their official Instagram account. In their post, VoB shared the concert poster for their upcoming performance in August 2023.
“LA WE’RE COMINGGG!,” wrote VoB on Friday (26/5/2023).
From the post, it is known that VoB will be performing at the Head in The Cloud 2023 event, one of the music festivals frequently held in Uncle Sam’s country. The event will take place on August 5 and 6, 2023, in Los Angeles.
At the event, VoB will be sharing the stage with several other famous singers, including Hong Kong rapper Jackson Wang and Indonesian rapper Rich Brian.
Regarding the news, Abah Erza, the founder of VoB from Garut, shared his response. Erza stated that VoB being trusted to perform overseas once again is a dream come true, for the umpteenth time.
“At least they have reaffirmed the hope that dreaming is not only a right but also the authority of anyone to have it,” said Erza to detikJabar.
Erza expressed his immense pride. As the founder of the band now led by the hijabs trio Euis Siti (drummer), Widi Rahmawati (bassist), and Firdda Kurnia as the vocalist, Erza also shares in that pride.
“As someone fortunate enough to be their friend, I am grateful to share in this pride repeatedly,” said Erza.
This international concert participation by VoB is not the first time. Previously, they have also been involved in rock music concerts in the Netherlands and France.
VoB has now proven its caliber. From a small area in the hinterland of Garut called Banjarwangi, they have risen and played music abroad once again.
