Jakarta, Indonesianpost.com – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo departed for Singapore on Wednesday to attend the regional conference “Ecosperity Week 2023” in which he will promote the development of the Nusantara Capital City, before continuing his trip to Malaysia later in the day.
“This conference will be attended by many investors, academics, and government officials, and I will use this opportunity to promote investment, especially in the energy transition sector, green infrastructure, and the development of the Nusantara Capital City,” Jokowi said at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta.

The Ecosperity Week 2023 in Singapore, with the theme “Breakthroughs for Net Zero,” will bring together global business leaders, policymakers, investors, and civil society from various industries to discuss high-impact technologies, policies, and financial support in bringing transformative breakthroughs for businesses, communities, and the planet. The event is organized by Temasek Singapore.
On Wednesday afternoon, Jokowi will directly depart to Kuala Lumpur at the invitation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Malaysian King Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah.
During the trip to the neighbors, Jokowi is accompanied by First Lady Iriana Widodo and a limited delegation.

President Jokowi and the delegation are scheduled to return to the homeland on Thursday (6/8/2023) evening.
