World’s First Shark Tank-Themed Business Park Launches in Egypt’s Taj City
The project backed by an investment of almost USD 1 billion and Spanning 20 acres.
Cairo, Indonesianpost.com – The world’s first business park inspired by the globally renowned TV show, Shark Tank, has officially opened its doors at an extravagant event held at Taj City. Developed by Madinet Masr, a leading Egyptian real estate developer, in strategic collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment and Innovative Media Production (IMP), this 20-acre park is set to revolutionize how entrepreneurs work and collaborate in an innovative, dynamic space.
The Shark Tank Business Park, designed with immersive, experience-driven principles, is a bold reimagination of workspaces, combining cutting-edge architecture with community-focused features. It boasts rooftop terraces, gaming pods, and garden-inspired brainstorming zones that encourage spontaneous collaboration. The park integrates next-generation office spaces with cultural venues and offers a dedicated co-working area for entrepreneurs.
A key highlight of the launch event was the unveiling of the world’s first Shark Tank commercial art sculpture, crafted by NotToys, the Middle East’s first art toy company. Positioned at the heart of the park, this artwork symbolizes the entrepreneurial spirit that Shark Tank Business Park seeks to cultivate. The piece is a testament to Egypt’s growing role in the global innovation landscape.
Since its debut in 2001 as ‘Money Tigers’ in Japan, the Shark Tank franchise has become one of the world’s most successful business reality television formats. Now known as ‘Shark Tank’ in many regions, the format sees entrepreneurs pitch to secure investment from high-profile business leaders, with the show currently aired in multiple countries across the globe.
Engineer Abdallah Sallam, President and CEO of Madinet Masr, shared his excitement for the project, stating, “Shark Tank Business Park is the first of its kind in the world. Inspired by the global success of Shark Tank, our vision is to create spaces that go beyond just functionality. This is more than an office park; it is a fully integrated ecosystem designed to foster creativity, productivity, and well-being within a vibrant business community.”
Robert Herjavec, a star of Shark Tank US and CEO of Cyderes, praised the project, stating, “Shark Tank Business Park offers global entrepreneurs and investors a community that feels like home. It’s hard to believe no one has done this before, but I believe this concept will be replicated across the globe. You can’t stop a great idea.”
The 20-acre development will consist of 16 buildings, with the first phase expected to be completed by 2029. The project is backed by an investment of nearly USD 1 billion.
