Sama Afshar Condemns Israeli Attacks: “Iran Is Under Attack, the World Must Not Stay Silent”
Tehran, Indonesianpost.com – The Israeli military strikes on vital Iranian facilities have drawn strong condemnation from international voices. One of the most outspoken responses came from Sama Afshar, a teacher and international humanitarian activist representing Color of Olive, a non-governmental organization focused on human rights advocacy in Palestine and other conflict zones.
In a public statement, Afshar declared that Israel’s actions represent a “sudden and illegitimate military attack” that blatantly violates core principles of international law, including the UN Charter and the protocols of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
“While remaining committed to diplomacy and peaceful solutions, Iran has been subjected to brutal and unjustified military aggression. This is not just about Iran—it’s about the systemic violation of international law,” Afshar stated.
She stressed that the attacks targeted not only nuclear facilities under IAEA supervision but also civilian economic infrastructure, constituting a direct breach of humanitarian norms and the laws of war.
“Such actions endanger both regional and global stability. We are at a critical juncture where dialogue—not bullets and missiles—must be the path forward,” she added.
Afshar affirmed that as a sovereign state, Iran has the legitimate right to defend itself against unprovoked acts of war. She also noted a growing wave of international solidarity, with nations and civil society organizations condemning Israel’s actions and calling for an immediate end to hostilities.
Furthermore, she called on global institutions and human rights organizations to take meaningful action:
“We urge the international community, peace-loving people, and freedom seekers everywhere not to remain silent. This call for justice is not just Iran’s—it belongs to all who reject occupation and injustice.”
In closing, Sama Afshar reminded the world that it now faces a clear moral choice:
“Will we allow international law to be trampled without consequence? Or will we unite to ensure that justice, peace, and human rights remain our shared compass?”
