Rapid advancements in medical devices present both challenges and opportunities for hospitals to boost the accuracy, efficiency, and safety of services for the public.

Yudha Imam Sutedja, Director of Marketing & Finance at PT Okta Sejahtera Insani—the organizer of the 14th Medan Hospital Expo—said the accelerating pace of technological innovation demands that hospitals constantly update their equipment to maintain service quality and competitiveness.

“Through this expo, hospitals get a direct chance to explore the latest developments, compare solutions, and connect with technology providers,” Yudha stated in a written release on Tuesday.

To address these needs, the 14th Medan Hospital Expo will take place at Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel and Convention in Medan, North Sumatra, from February 10–12, 2026. This health industry exhibition serves as a hub for hospitals across Sumatra to access medical device advancements firsthand and measurably.

Spanning 1,340 square meters, the expo will feature national and global companies in the medical devices sector. It forms part of the 16th Seminar and Workshop for Hospital Managers by the Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI) North Sumatra Region, themed “Building a Reliable and Sustainable Hospital Ecosystem.”

Yudha noted that the Medan Hospital Expo also acts as an annual shopping event for hospitals in North Sumatra and surrounding areas, fostering collaboration among hospitals, healthcare providers, and supporting industries to secure products and services that fit their needs at competitive prices.

Dr. Syaiful M. Sitompul, Chair of PERSI North Sumatra Region, described the expo as highly relevant for strengthening hospital governance and service sustainability, including the use of efficient and effective medical devices to support green hospital concepts and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

The event will showcase cutting-edge health technologies, such as hematology analyzers, electric ICU beds, and electric delivery beds, along with other medical equipment ranging from laboratory tools and radiology systems to health information technology, ambulances, and hospital waste management solutions.

Organizers target around 2,500 visitors for Medan Hospital Expo 2026, including hospital leaders and managers, healthcare workers, seminar and workshop participants, and the general public. Beyond the exhibition, attendees can join free blood donation drives and health checkups.
