Coordinating Economic Minister Airlangga Hartarto has said Indonesia and the United States are set to sign an Agreement on Reciprocal Tariff (ART) on the sidelines of President Prabowo Subianto’s planned visit to the US for the Board of Peace (BoP) Summit.

“Mr. President is scheduled to attend the event on the 19th (of February), and around that date there is also a plan to sign the ART, the Agreement on Reciprocal Tariff,” Airlangga said at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.

According to Airlangga, Indonesia’s reciprocal-tariff negotiating team has made its best efforts to reach an agreement.

He said the government was still waiting for a final decision ahead of the formal signing of the reciprocal tariff arrangement.

“We have already come down from to , and there are other matters as well that we will wait for until everything is  finalized,” he added.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto said he was ready to sign the final document of the Indonesia–United States reciprocal tariff agreement together with US President Donald Trump, once the legal drafting of the deal is completed.

State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi explained that negotiations on the US tariff issue have entered the final stage of review and legal drafting, carried out by negotiating teams from both countries in Washington, D.C., from Jan. 12 to 19, 2026.

In the next round of talks, negotiating teams from both countries are expected to discuss more detailed provisions as part of the drafting process.

Prasetyo said he hoped the final document of the reciprocal tariff agreement (Agreement on Reciprocal Tariff/ART) could be signed by the two heads of state by the end of January.

Under the agreement, Indonesia commits to opening market access for US products, addressing various non-tariff barriers, strengthening cooperation in digital trade and technology, national security, and other commercial cooperation.

The United States, meanwhile, commits to granting tariff exemptions for several of Indonesia’s leading export products that are not produced in the US, including palm oil, cocoa, coffee, tea and other strategic commodities.
