The government is continuing to tighten policy coordination to maintain national economic stability and certainty amid global volatility. Each step of Indonesia’s economic diplomacy is being directed toward delivering concrete gains for the country—particularly by boosting industrial productivity, widening market access and strengthening Indonesia’s position in global supply chains.

To ensure readiness for those strategic priorities, President Prabowo Subianto held a meeting with several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, on Sunday (Feb. 15).

The meeting was held ahead of the President’s planned visit to the United States, aimed at aligning policy positions and sharpening Indonesia’s economic negotiation strategy.

“The meeting discussed the latest updates on the Indonesia–United States negotiations, and it was conveyed that Mr. President plans to be in the United States on the 19th. Around that date, the signing of an Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART) is planned,” Coordinating Economic Affairs Ministry spokesperson Haryo Limanseto said in a written statement on Monday (Feb. 16, 2026).
