The Singapore–Malaysia Edutrip program held by Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) on Feb. 9–12, 2026, strengthened academic ties through a visit to Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) on Wednesday (Feb. 12, 2026). The campus engagement was marked by a plaque and souvenir exchange, symbolizing both institutions’ commitment to explore future collaboration.
The visit, joined by UBSI students and lecturers, formed part of a cross-border learning experience. Participants toured the campus and held discussions on higher education systems, academic culture and potential partnerships across Southeast Asia.
The plaque and souvenirs were presented by UBSI Edutrip Program Coordinator Cicih Nuraeni to Arief Redzuan, who represented UniKL. The exchange became a key moment in the broader agenda of academic engagement between the two institutions.
“Presenting this plaque and souvenirs is our way of showing appreciation for the exceptional welcome from Universiti Kuala Lumpur. We hope it will serve as an early symbol of broader collaboration—both in academic initiatives and in student and faculty exchanges,” Cicih Nuraeni said in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday (Feb. 12, 2026).
Cicih added that the program offered students and lecturers firsthand exposure to the atmosphere of higher education in Malaysia. She also noted that building international networks remains an important element in strengthening educational institutions.
Arief Redzuan, meanwhile, welcomed the delegation and praised UBSI’s initiative.
“We truly appreciate UBSI’s visit. This plaque represents the goodwill between us, which we hope will grow into more concrete cooperation in the future,” he said.
Through the Edutrip initiative, UBSI reaffirmed its commitment as a Digital Creative Campus to expanding international collaboration. The outcomes of the meeting are expected to serve as an initial step toward sustained academic cooperation on a broader, global stage.
