Several flights from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) bound for the Middle East have been canceled or delayed following the closure of airspace over parts of the region, according to airport operator PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports).

Acting Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal Affairs at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Aziz Fahmi Harahap, said on Sunday that affected routes include Etihad Airways (EY472) to Abu Dhabi, Qatar Airways (QR954) to Doha, Qatar Airways (QR957) to Doha, Emirates (EK357) to Dubai, Etihad Airways (EY475) to Abu Dhabi, Garuda Indonesia (GA900) to Doha, and Etihad Airways (EY473) to Abu Dhabi.

“For inbound flights, Etihad Airways EY472 from Abu Dhabi and Qatar Airways QR954 from Doha have been canceled,” Aziz confirmed.

He added that the airport authority has taken necessary measures to assist affected passengers following the postponements and cancellations. This includes facilitating immigration document cancellations, coordinating with airlines for accommodation arrangements, and rescheduling flights as needed.

“In general, the situation inside the terminal remains safe and orderly,” Aziz noted.

He also assured that Soekarno-Hatta Airport’s international operations, aside from Middle East routes, continue to run normally and smoothly.

The airport management guarantees that all passenger service activities—both for departures and arrivals—are operating optimally.

“Close coordination continues with airlines, airport authorities, and other relevant agencies to prepare for any operational changes while maintaining safety, security, and service standards,” he said.

InJourney, as Indonesia’s main airport operator, also urged passengers traveling to Middle Eastern destinations to actively monitor official airline channels or contact customer service for the latest flight status updates.

“Meanwhile, we are continuously monitoring all terminals—especially international operations—to ensure a quick and effective response to any potential disruptions,” Aziz emphasized.
