The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI) is gearing up a series of supporting events packaged under the hashtag #ImlekdiJakarta, starting February 13, 2026, as a buildup to the peak of the National Lunar New Year 2026 celebration.
“We want to ensure all activities in Jakarta align seamlessly with the national agenda,” said Head of the Jakarta Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) Atika Nur Rahmania in a statement from Jakarta on Tuesday.
As the host city, she added, Jakarta is expected to deliver a range of attractions that will make the National Lunar New Year festivities resonate even louder across the nation.
On the publicity front, Pemprov DKI is lending support through various out-of-home media, including screenings on LED screens at key strategic spots throughout Jakarta. These publicity locations are also being expanded and refreshed on a regular basis.
“The promotions go beyond just displaying the logo; they include content designed to raise awareness about the National Lunar New Year 2026 event. Moving forward, we’re awaiting further guidance on utilizing the branding and its derivatives to make the outreach even more effective,” Atika said.
Earlier, on Monday (Feb. 2), Pemprov DKI held a follow-up meeting with the National Lunar New Year 2026 Committee and Special Staff for Strengthening the Creative Economy Ecosystem Jago Anggara at Jakarta City Hall to fine-tune preparations for the National Lunar New Year 2026 celebration.
The meeting followed a high-level gathering previously attended by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung.
During the session, Atika also urged the National Lunar New Year 2026 Committee to provide a more detailed rundown of the concept and main lineup for the Harmoni Imlek Nusantara event, including key areas requiring joint attention—from execution and publicity to cross-sector support.
The meeting is expected to bolster coordination among stakeholders, paving the way for a successful National Lunar New Year 2026 that delivers positive impacts on tourism and the creative economy sectors, particularly in the capital.
