Jakarta, Indonesianpost.com – Indonesia Polling Stations (IPS) has also released the results of a survey on potential vice presidential candidates for the 2024 election. West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, and Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir were the top three in this survey.
The IPS survey was conducted from February 15 to 24, 2023, with a total of 1,200 respondents. The sampling was carried out using multistage random sampling techniques. Data collection was done through face-to-face interviews with trained personnel. The survey has a 95% level of confidence and a margin of error of +/- 2.83%.

Senior IPS researcher Alfin Sugianto said that they asked respondents in a closed format about who they would choose as their vice presidential candidate. Ten names were presented, with Ridwan Kamil taking the top spot.
“Ridwan Kamil and Sandiaga Uno remain the most popular choices for vice president among respondents if the presidential election were held today. 21.8% of respondents said that Ridwan Kamil is the most suitable figure to become the future vice president of Indonesia, while Sandiaga Uno was chosen by 15.5% of respondents,” Alfin said at a press conference on Monday (2/28/2023).
“Other figures who have a significant level of popularity as potential vice presidential candidates are Erick Thohir, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), and General Moeldoko,” he added.
