Boosting the Creativity Program Proposal of Students, the Department of Arabic Literature at the State University of Malang Conducts a Workshop

Malang, Indonesianpost.com – Thursday, February 9th, 2023 – The Department of Arabic Literature in the Faculty of Literature at the University of Malang held a workshop on the Preparation of the Creativity Program Proposal of Students (PKM). The event was attended by 50 students, 5 speakers, the Head of the Department, and the Advisor of the Arabic Literature Department’s Student Association. The workshop was conducted to support the improvement of the quantity and quality of PKM proposals and the performance of the Arabic Literature Department.

The event was opened by the Head of the Arabic Literature Department, Dr. Mohammad Ahsanuddin, S.Pd., M.Pd. In his opening remarks, he stated that the workshop was held to increase the number of PKM proposals submitted by Arabic Literature students and he hoped that some of them would pass the funding selection by the Ministry of Education and Culture and even be selected for the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS). He also hoped that the proposals submitted would still be related to the Arabic Literature department and have an impact on the development of Arabic Literature.

The workshop featured 5 speakers, including the Advisor of the 2021 Funded Team, Ustadz Moh. Fauzan, S.Pd., M.PdI, Luthfi Farihatun Nisa’ (Member of the 2021 Funded Team), Muhammad Iksan (Head of the 2021 Funded Team), Aisyah Cahyani (Head of the PKM Program Team Selected for PIMNAS 2021), Muh. Syahri Romadhon (Head of the PKM Program Team Selected for PIMNAS 2020), and Fathimah Muthmainnah (Head of the 2021 Funded Team).

Ustadz Fauzan expressed his hope that this year would be an outstanding year for the Arabic Literature Department, similar to 2021, where many Database Administrator teams were selected for funding and even made it to the National Student Scientific Week.

The event continued with a brief presentation of tips and tricks related to the preparation of the PKM proposal by 4 experienced students in the field.

During the event, all participants were divided into several groups to complete the PKM proposal, which is expected to be submitted to the faculty within the specified time. Assistance was also provided after the event.
