Jakarta – Gold prices issued by state-owned miner PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) declined on Wednesday morning, coinciding with the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah holiday, according to data from the official Logam Mulia website.
As of 09:17 a.m. WIB on May 27, the price of Antam gold fell by Rp13,000 to Rp2,785,000 per gram, down from the previous Rp2,798,000. The buyback price, which reflects the rate at which Antam repurchases gold from customers, also dropped to Rp2,594,000 per gram.
Market observers note that gold prices remain sensitive to global and domestic economic conditions, and may fluctuate at any time following broader market trends.
Under current tax regulations, the resale of gold bullion to PT Antam Tbk exceeding Rp10 million is subject to Income Tax (PPh) Article 22. The rate is set at 1.5 percent for taxpayers holding a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) and 3 percent for those without, with the tax deducted directly from the total buyback value.
