SAMARINDA, INDONESIAN POST — The East Kalimantan Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration collected more than Rp10 billion in non-tax state revenue from residence permit services for foreign nationals as of October 2026.
The office’s head, Nurudin, said in Samarinda on Friday that residence permit services contributed billions of rupiah to state revenue.
The revenue came from the issuance of thousands of residence permits during October 2026.
The office provided the services to foreign nationals to support investment and development across various sectors in East Kalimantan.
“We issued 4,703 residence permits to foreign nationals,” Nurudin said.
The total included both limited-stay and permanent residence permits for foreign nationals in the province.
“In addition to residence permits, passport services contributed Rp4.5 billion in non-tax state revenue,” Nurudin said.
The office issued passports to 5,621 people for overseas travel.
Total non-tax state revenue from passport services reached Rp4,533,350,000.
Immigration officers conducted checks on 38,460 international border crossings at immigration checkpoints.
The regional office also completed 26 administrative immigration enforcement actions and reported no immigration cases handled through criminal proceedings.
