Kapolri reveals the chronology of the Plumpang BBM depot fire incident
Jakarta, Indonesianpost.com – National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo revealed the initial incident of the Pertamina Plumpang Depot fire in North Jakarta. He explained that the fire was suspected to be caused by technical problems.
This information was obtained from the joint investigation team from the National Police and Pertamina. According to him, at around 8:00 pm, Pertamax fuel was being filled.

“Meanwhile, what we can explain at the time of the incident yesterday, at around 8:00 pm, Pertamax oil was being filled or received from Balongan, and it was received at the Plumpang Depot,” he said at the Pertamina Plumpang Depot on Saturday (4/3/2023).
After that, he said, there was a technical disturbance that caused excessive pressure, which then led to a massive fire.
“Then there was a technical disturbance that caused excessive pressure, and after that, it was found that there was a burning incident,” he explained.
However, to determine the exact source of the fire, the investigation team is currently conducting a thorough investigation. His team is also collecting witnesses and CCTV footage at the scene.
