Basarnas and Higher Education Ministry Collaborate on Research Initiatives

Jakarta, Indonesianpost.com – The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology and the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in search and rescue operations, as well as in higher education, science, and technology.
Higher Education Minister Brian Yuliarto emphasized that universities, with their research capabilities and human resources, can support various institutions, including Basarnas, in addressing challenges. He noted that the partnership could also promote universities as centers of knowledge contributing to emergency response efforts.
Yuliarto further explained that Basarnas could help raise public awareness on emergency preparedness, an area in which understanding is still limited.
