Iraq Coach Gathers Information on Indonesia U-20’s Strength in First Match

Tashkent, Indonesianpost.com – Iraq U-20 claims to be ready to compete in Group A of the 2023 Asian U-20 Cup. Coach Emad Mohammed emphasized that they already have enough information about their rivals, including the Indonesian U-20 national team, which will be their opponent in the first match.

The Asian U-20 Cup will take place in Uzbekistan starting today, Wednesday (March 1, 2023) until March 18. Iraq U-20 will be accompanied by Indonesia U-20, Syria U-20, and Uzbekistan U-20. Iraq U-20 will face Indonesia U-20 in the first match.

The match is scheduled to take place at the Lokomotiv Stadium, Tashkent, Uzbekistan, tonight at 7:00 PM WIB. Mohammed admitted that the first match in every tournament is not an easy one to pass.

There is always a surprise. Therefore, Mohammed believes that facing Indonesia U-20 will be a tough match. Although his team is more favored, he refuses to underestimate the strength of Shin Tae-yong’s fleet.

Nevertheless, Mohammed emphasized that his team is ready to compete. Moreover, he has collected information about the strength of each opponent, including Indonesia U-20.

“The first match will be very difficult because this is the opening match of the group,” explained Mohammed, as quoted from the AFC official website.

“This is a tough group, but we have good information about all the teams we will face,” he continued.

Mohammed has high hopes for this tournament. He wants Iraq U-20 to be able to participate in the U-20 World Cup, which will take place in Indonesia from May 20 to June 11, 2023.
