Young People Urged to Contribute to Village Development Efforts
Tangerang, Indonesianpost.com – Reported by Antara, Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Yandri Susanto, has called on rural youth to take an active role in supporting the development of their villages.
“We will implement concrete actions at the village level to encourage young people to play an active role in village development,” said Susanto after opening the Pioneer Youth Ready to Develop Villages program in Tangerang, Banten, on Monday.
The minister emphasized the important and strategic role that Indonesian youth play in helping to achieve the missions of President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita.
The Pioneer Youth Ready to Develop Villages program, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, aims to involve rural youth more actively in advancing their villages.

In addition, young people in villages will have the opportunity to contribute to the Red and White Village Cooperatives program, which is part of the government’s broader initiative.
Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo expressed that the program is a tangible effort by the government to nurture a strong and capable young generation.
“Developing youth is key to enhancing the competitiveness and strengthening the character of our nation’s younger generation,” he said.
Ariotedjo also highlighted that the program could serve as a driving force for villages, influencing both the management of village governments and village cooperatives. By involving and nurturing the youth, he believes it will lead to the advancement of villages across Indonesia.
He further stressed that collaboration is vital to the progress of a great nation, and that the involvement of creative youth is a valuable asset for both village and national development. (BL)
