Jakarta – Sinarmas LDA Port Services (SLUP) has reaffirmed its commitment to crew performance excellence by awarding “The Best Vessel Quarter 1 2026” to several ships recognized for outstanding operational performance.

The award recipients include SLM Josephine, SLM Apollo 2, SLM Artemis 2, Mitra Kencana 4, and SLM Apollo 5. According to Faoli Zebua, Head of Crewing at Sinarmas LDA Port Services, the recognition reflects the company’s structured approach to appreciating vessel crews who consistently deliver high performance.

“We operate between 110 and 120 Indonesian-flagged vessels with a workforce ranging from 2,000 to 2,500 employees. We have developed our own system to ensure vessels maintain optimal performance. Based on the data we collect, we conduct quarterly evaluations and reward the best-performing vessels. This is essential to encourage crews to continuously improve their performance,” Faoli said on Tuesday (June 2).

As a subsidiary of Sinarmas LDA Maritime Group (SLM), SLUP operates as a private shipping company and integrated logistics service provider across Indonesia. Faoli emphasized that the “Best Vessel” award serves as a benchmark to uphold professional standards across the company’s fleet.

“In 2026, SLUP presented awards to five vessels across four categories: self-propelled barge, liquid tug, liquid tug SSKI, and tug boat,” he added.

Sinarmas LDA Port Services is part of Sinarmas LDA Maritime (SLM), a strategic joint venture between Indonesia’s Sinarmas Group and France-based Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (Pacemar). The company focuses on transporting bulk cargo, including both dry and liquid commodities, while also providing port operational services.

Dry bulk cargo includes coal transported using barges and cargo vessels. Meanwhile, liquid bulk shipments mainly consist of vegetable oils, such as crude palm oil, and other liquid products.

To support its operations, the company manages a fleet of 250 trucks, warehouse facilities covering 10,000 square meters, and liquid storage tanks with a total capacity of 14,000 metric tons.
