The Indonesian Embassy in Muscat on Saturday urged all Indonesian nationals residing in Oman to remain calm and exercise heightened vigilance following reports of explosions, airspace closures, and flight cancellations in the region after the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran.

In an official statement shared on its Instagram account, the embassy reminded Indonesian citizens (WNI) to follow directives issued by the Omani authorities and Indonesia’s diplomatic mission regarding the rapidly evolving security situation in the Middle East.

The embassy emphasized the importance of relying only on verified updates from credible media and official government sources, urging citizens to adhere strictly to all safety advisories to minimize potential risks.

Additionally, the embassy advised Indonesians to postpone or avoid travel to areas affected by the escalating conflict, particularly those that may pose threats to personal safety and public order.

Indonesian citizens were also reminded to secure their passports, identification cards, and ATM cards, and to prepare an emergency go-bag containing essential items in case an urgent evacuation becomes necessary.

The embassy encouraged WNI in Oman to register themselves through the Peduli WNI online platform managed by Indonesia’s Foreign Ministry. This step aims to facilitate communication and coordination should the situation further deteriorate.

For emergencies, Indonesians in Oman can contact the Muscat Embassy’s emergency hotline via WhatsApp at +968-9600-0210 to receive immediate consular assistance.

The Indonesian government continues to closely monitor developments in the Middle East as tensions rise following the latest round of military aggression, which has triggered widespread security concerns across the region.
