Jakarta, Indonesianpost.com – The unified governmental platform “Nusuk” (nusuk.sa), serving the visitors of Makkah and Madinah, will hold its introductory roadshow and accompanying interactive exhibition on April 30 in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta. The event will be attended by His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, and His Excellency the Minister of Religious Affairs in Indonesia, Yaqut Qoumas, along with several official figures from the Indonesian government, in addition to officials from the Saudi Tourism Authority.

Indonesia is one of the leading countries from which Umrah performers and visitors come, according to official Saudi statistics. Last year, the Kingdom received about 1.5 million Indonesian Umrah performers and visitors in 2023. Through this roadshow, “Nusuk” aims to introduce the services and facilities provided by the platform to the guests of Rahman, amidst a distinguished presence of commercial partners representing travel, tourism and Umrah agencies from both Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, totalling more than 700 commercial partners.

“Nusuk” hopes that the roadshow will contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between representatives of the private sector working in the travel and Umrah agencies from both countries, to improve the quality of services provided to Umrah performers and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques by Indonesian citizens, and to enhance the experience of the guests of Rahman and increase the number of foreign visitors, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

During the Roadshow, Saudi will present the Umrah+ experience program “Al Hijrah trip”, which offers a transformative journey, inviting visitors to explore Saudi Arabia beyond the spiritual journey to experience the stories behind each stop throughout the trip covering various locations within the kingdom.

The Indonesian market is one of the most important markets in Southeast Asia, and the organisation of the roadshow and the accompanying exhibition reflects the strong relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Indonesia, which are characterised by many common aspects, enhancing the brotherly relations between the two countries and ensuring a comfortable and safe visit for Indonesian visitors to the Kingdom.

To strengthen its presence among travel and Umrah stakeholders in the Indonesian travel market, “Nusuk” has included the Indonesian language among its main service languages, in addition to its reliability, safety, informative information and guidance on performing Umrah, and the possibility for women to perform Umrah and visit without a male companion, as well as activities, events, historical sites and enriching experiences in Makkah and Madinah, access to travel and tourism platforms to book various programmes and packages, and to choose from the various packages and programmes offered by the platform partners from the private sector.

On the sidelines of the roadshow, Saudi Tourism Authority will present a virtual reality (VR) technology experience to Indonesian citizens and tourists from various countries around the world from May 1 to May 5 to watch a series of Islamic historical stories and learn about the rosary industry, at Kota Kasablanka Mall, in addition to providing pavilions for companies accredited by the platform in the Indonesian market to showcase their services and Umrah packages for those wishing to perform the rituals.

It is noteworthy that “Nusuk” is the Saudi unified portal launched by the Saudi Tourism Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to develop the experience of the guests of Rahman and facilitate the procedures for their arrival to perform Umrah and visits from all over the world. Nusuk brings together more than 200 partners and provides many high-quality services, such as accommodation, transportation, aviation, hospitality, and applying for an electronic visa, to facilitate the automation of arrival procedures to perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque and Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa, regardless of the type of visa they obtained. In addition to visiting historical monuments in the two holy cities, Nusuk provides an exceptional spiritual experience for the guests of Rahman throughout the year, with the possibility of visiting various Saudi tourist destinations in terms of nature, heritage, and culture and staying there for up to 90 days during one year.
