Jakarta – The international humanitarian organization Muslim World League (Rabithah Al-Alam Al-Islami) successfully carried out a large-scale program titled “Free Healthcare Services: Mobile Medical Clinic” in Sukabumi Regency, West Java, on Sunday (May 24, 2026). The initiative was implemented in collaboration with Islamic Medical Service (IMS) and PT Indofest Global Pratama, which served as the primary operational partners on the ground.
The humanitarian activity was centered at Mabda Islam Islamic Boarding School (pesantren) in Nyalindung Village, Sukabumi Regency. The pesantren played a strategic local role by providing logistical infrastructure, facilities, and mobilizing residents from surrounding rural areas to access the services.
By bringing advanced medical equipment and a team of professional doctors directly to the village, the program effectively reduced the need for residents to travel long distances and incur high costs for specialist care typically available only in urban centers. A total of 510 residents benefited from the comprehensive services provided free of charge.
Head of Mabda Islam Islamic Boarding School, Ustadz Sandi Nopiandi, explained that the services covered 352 patients receiving general medical treatment, 103 individuals undergoing dental examinations, and 55 pregnant women accessing antenatal care (ANC) and ultrasound services.
“On behalf of the pesantren community and all residents, we express our deepest gratitude to Muslim World League, IMS, and PT Indofest Global Pratama for bringing the blessing of healthcare to our village,” Sandi said during the opening ceremony.
He emphasized the importance of tangible humanitarian efforts in rural communities, noting that access to healthcare remains a critical need. According to him, pesantren institutions are no longer limited to religious education but are evolving into centers of social welfare and community empowerment.
“We are truly grateful that this modest place has been entrusted to host such a meaningful initiative. God willing, every step taken by the medical team, every effort by the organizers, and every recovery achieved today will become a continuous charitable reward that brings lasting benefit to our community in Nyalindung,” he added.
Ahmad, an elderly resident waiting in line for general treatment, expressed his appreciation for the program. “I came to check my body aches and high blood pressure. The service was fast, and we received medicine immediately. It has been very helpful, especially since everything is completely free,” he said.
