- BPBD has warned the public to stay away from Cisadane River water and avoid eating fish caught there after pesticide contamination linked to a South Tangerang warehouse fire.
- A fish die-off has been reported along parts of the Cisadane River, even as some residents continue to fish in the area.
- Authorities say the pollution incident stems from chemical pesticide exposure following a warehouse blaze, prompting safety advisories for nearby communities.

The Tangerang Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) has urged residents to avoid direct contact with water from the Cisadane River and to refrain from consuming fish caught there after the river was contaminated by pesticide chemicals following a warehouse fire in South Tangerang on Monday (Feb. 9).

Dead fish of various sizes have been seen along parts of the Cisadane River’s banks. Despite the warning, some residents were still observed carrying out activities such as casting nets and fishing around the affected river stretch.
