President Prabowo Subianto is confirmed to attend the first summit of the Board of Peace (BoP) in Washington, DC, next week. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Vahd Nabyl A. Mulachela said the Indonesian leader is scheduled to take part in the inaugural BoP meeting on Feb. 19, 2026.

“President Prabowo Subianto is planning to attend,” Nabyl said in a written statement released in Jakarta on Wednesday (Feb. 11, 2026).

Nabyl said Prabowo’s presence reflects Indonesia’s commitment to play an active role in shaping the Board of Peace’s direction and work from the outset. He added that at the meeting Prabowo will continue to advocate for Palestinian interests, particularly Gaza reconstruction and the Palestinian people’s struggle, in line with the aspirations of Indonesians.

Indonesia, Nabyl said, continues to push for Gaza’s recovery and to pursue a just and lasting peace for Palestine. He said these efforts are framed within support for a two-state solution through Indonesia’s participation in the Board of Peace.

Separately, Coordinating Economic Minister Airlangga Hartarto confirmed that Prabowo will travel to the United States to attend the Board of Peace summit. Beyond the peace agenda, Airlangga said Prabowo is also expected to sign the Indonesia-US Reciprocal Tariff Agreement, a deal whose finalization is nearing completion, during the visit.

“The President is planning to attend the event on the 19th (of February), and around that date there is also a plan for the signing of the ART, the Agreement on Reciprocal Tariff,” Airlangga said at the State Palace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The White House previously announced it would host the first Board of Peace summit on Feb. 19, 2026, and has contacted a number of leaders from member states to attend. Indonesia formally joined the BoP after Prabowo signed the BoP charter at its launch on Jan. 22, 2026, in Davos, Switzerland.
