JAKARTA, INDONESIAN POST — Indonesia secured investment commitments worth about Rp6.3 trillion ($385.1 million) at the Indonesia Investment Forum (IIF) 2026 in London, the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) said.

The commitments were secured through the signing and presentation of three strategic agreements, according to an official statement received in Jakarta on Friday.

“I always say that investors do not like uncertainty when making investment decisions. They want certainty, predictability and a credible process,” said Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan P. Roeslani, who also heads BKPM.

Indonesia was therefore continuing its efforts to improve the investment climate, he added.

The commitments include a planned Rp4.16 trillion ($252.1 million) investment in tin processing by Titanium Capital; a €50 million ($56 million) artificial intelligence (AI)-based data center development by Axelera in the Industropolis Batang Special Economic Zone, following a business meeting at Trade Expo Indonesia 2026; and a $77 million investment by BlackInk Co-operation Limited to use land at Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP) for facilities to assemble heavy equipment and spare parts.

“We continue to review and revise policies and regulations to provide greater certainty and predictability for investors. Indonesia is also making improvements to become more competitive in attracting foreign investment,” Rosan said.

This year’s forum, held under the theme “Fostering Resilient Investment Through a Robust Supply Chain,” brought together about 100 delegates from industry, banking and government.

The forum provided a platform for Indonesia to promote investment opportunities and connect prospective investors with relevant stakeholders.

The program included high-level executive discussions involving senior officials from the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, the Ministry of Finance and Bank Indonesia, the country’s central bank.

Other sessions featured project pitches from Danantara Indonesia, special economic zones and state-owned enterprises, alongside one-on-one business meetings to explore investment partnerships in Indonesia.
