PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has opened a dedicated internship program in artificial intelligence (AI) and business-to-business (B2B) workstreams for university students through its Digistar Class Intern initiative.

“The program is designed to provide a learning experience that is relevant, practical and aligned with industry needs, so participants are better prepared when they enter the workforce,” Telkom Director of Human Capital Management Willy Saelan said in a statement issued in Jakarta on Thursday.

Now entering its first batch, Digistar Class Intern is an intensive five-month internship program aimed at giving students real work experience.

Students who pass the selection process will be directly involved in strategic projects across TelkomGroup units and will receive guidance from professional mentors.

Willy said the approach enables participants not only to understand concepts, but also to apply them immediately in the company’s business and operational context.

“The work experience is reinforced through structured learning modules that combine hard skills, soft skills and an understanding of work culture, so the learning process does not stop at theory but is oriented toward professional readiness and industry needs,” he said.

This year, Digistar Class Intern is again open to active university students who are at least in their sixth semester. The focus on building competencies in AI and B2B is expected to equip participants to navigate an increasingly competitive digital industry.

Registration for Digistar Class Intern 2026 Batch 1 is open from Jan. 31 to Feb. 8, 2026, and the full registration process and program information are available on the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises’ official platform at https://magenta.bumn.go.id.

In the 2025 edition of Digistar Class Intern, participants had the opportunity to work on real TelkomGroup use cases and join special classes led by industry practitioners.

One of last year’s strategic collaborations was carried out with Palo Alto Networks, a global cybersecurity company.
