MOE Taiwan Scholarship 2026: Funding for Bachelor’s to PhD Applicants from Indonesia

• Tuition subsidy: up to $\text{NT}\$40,000$ per semester (around Rp $21.2$ million)

• Administrative fees, thesis/adviser fees, insurance, accommodation, and internet must be covered by the student

Scholarship duration (MOE 2026)

• Undergraduate program: up to 4 years

• Master’s program: up to 2 years

• Doctoral program: up to 4 years

Eligibility and required documents (MOE 2026)

• Applicants must not be Taiwanese citizens or Overseas Chinese students

• Applicants must not have previously studied in Taiwan at the same degree level

• Applicants must not have received Taiwan government scholarships for more than five years

• Applicants must not have previously canceled an MOE scholarship award

• Submit the scholarship application form in English or Mandarin

• Provide photocopies of passport and family card (in English or Mandarin)

• Provide photocopies of diploma and academic transcript (in English or Mandarin)

• If graduating from an institution outside Indonesia, the diploma and transcript must be legalized at the local TETO office in that country

• Provide a photocopy or scan of proof of university application showing the applicant has applied to a university in Taiwan

• Provide two recommendation letters in English or Mandarin with wet signatures (from a school principal, rector, dean, professor, or supervisor)

• For non-English-taught programs that do not accept other Chinese certificates: provide a TOCFL certificate with at least intermediate level $\text{B1}$

• For English-taught programs: provide an official TOEFL certificate or another internationally recognized English proficiency certificate
